Andreal Davis is a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and educational leader who has made a profound impact on culturally responsive practices in education. With degrees in Elementary Education and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an Educational Administration certificate from Edgewood College, she has served as Director of African American Student Achievement with the Madison Metropolitan School District. As CEO and Founder of Cultural Practices That Are Relevant LLC, she has fostered family-school-community relationships and researched culturally responsive practices. Her work, inspired by her own children and underserved students, led to the creation of a professional development model called Cultural Practices that are Relevant (CPR), supporting responsive teaching. Andreal has published a children's books and received awards including the Milken National Educator Award and YWCA Woman of Distinction Award.
